My friend Chelsa, whom I work with told me probably the funniest story I've ever heard. At first I didn't believe her, but she promised she was being honest so I had to believe her! The story is slightly long so bear with me.
Chelsa's friend is a nurse, and her co-worker has an 18 year old son who is mentally impaired... Yesterday while at work he kept calling his mom telling her she needed to come home because he had a surprise for her! After the 4th phone call, she finally told him that she had to work, but when she got off her shift she would hurry home for the surprise. As she was eating her lunch, she had this motherly instinct that she needed to get home. When she got to her house she saw the house in a complete mess. Furniture everywhere, things broken, it looked like the house was robbed. She yells for her son, and he answers that he was in his bedroom. She goes up to his bedroom and sees him hiding behind some furniture so excited she's home for her surprise! He told his mom to open the closet door. Hesitantly, she did, scared that there was either A. a robber or B. an animal. She was wrong on both accounts. She opened the closet door to find a little person standing in the closet. Ecstatically her son yells "A gnome, mom! A gnome! How did you know I wanted a gnome!!" MORTIFIED the woman apologizes to the man for what happened; he said he wouldn't press charges because of the boys mental capacity. What had happened is that the man was a Jehovah's Witness missionary knocking door to door and came upon this woman's house. The boy (thinking he was a gnome) had grabbed him and pulled him inside, chasing him all around the house, causing the absolute disaster! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! I was in SHOCK when Chelsa told me that today! SO funny!
The second funny thing happened to my mother today. On Tuesday, I had a slightly scary experience riding the lightrail home from school, and told my mom that I needed to carry mace with me from now on. She text her friend who she knew had mace, asking where she had got it. The texting conversation went as such:
Mom: "Jordan had a scary experience on the lightrail on Tuesday, where did you get your mace?"
Responder: "WHOS DIZZ"
Mom (laughing): "This is Holly..."
Responder: "WHAT YOU LAST NAME"
Mom: "Oops, sorry."
Responder: "OPSS SORRY WHAT"
Mom: "Wrong number, my bad."
Responder: "SEND ME A PIC OF U"
Responder: "SEND ME A PIC OF U"
Responder: "SEND ME A PIC OF U"
Responder: "Hello. Send me a pic of u"
[And also managed to call 4 times.]
HAHAHAHA My mother and I were crying laughing. Whoever this was was either a CREEP.A.ZIOD or a severely jealous girlfriend. Either way- it was a hilarious situation.
I love funny days.
